UK P&I Club gave a seminar in “Far Eastern Shipping Company”, PLC

On May, 24 Kit Chan and Malcolm Bourne, the representatives of UK P&I Club, gave a seminar in “Far Eastern Shipping Company” about maritime banditry and economic sanctions in modern world trade.

UK P&I Club is one of the oldest clubs of mutual liability insurance in the world, which consists of the largest shipowners from more than 50 countries. «Far Eastern Shipping Company» is one of them.

The representatives of UK P&I Club started a seminar with the presentation of their stable current condition, told about new shipowners, drawn tonnage, volume and structure of covered losses for the last 2 years.

The main time of seminar was dedicated to actual problems of maritime banditry in Indian Ocean and world trade sanctions concerning world community. Also representatives paid a lot of attention to measures taken for anti-piracy campaign by world organizations, discussed safety products and methods, recommended to shipowners in conditions of risky shipping in maritime banditry region.
