FESCO boosts volumes of foreign trade operations via ports of the Far East by 38% in 2022

As per results of 2022, FESCO Transportation Group (“FESCO”, the “Group”) has increased the volume of transportations by sea foreign trade services via ports of the Far East by 38% compared to 2021 – up to 330 thousand TEU.

In addition, in December 2022 FESCO set an absolute record by dispatching 50 container trains with 6.8 thousand TEU from the Far East in a week.

In 2022, the Group launched 22 new intermodal services, established a subsidiary in Tashkent as well as branch and commercial representative offices in Krasnodar, Kazan and Irkutsk.

During the last year, FESCO increased its own container fleet by 29%, which now amounts to 132 thousand TEU being a historical maximum for the Group.

Commercial Port of Vladivostok (CPV, a FESCO company) processed more than 768 thousand TEU in twelve months of last year, which is 1.4% more than a year earlier. The total cargo throughput of CPV increased by 3.7%, to 13.4 million tons. Handling of vessels increased by 43% compared to 2021, to more than 1.6 thousand.

As part of implementation of its strategy in 2023 FESCO will continue developing intermodal, sea and rail services, launching new logistics routes, acquiring vessels and increasing its own fleet of containers as well as expanding the terminal network.
