FESCO Transports Heavy Equipment for Building of a Factory in Primorsky Kray

FESCO Transportation Group organized and carried out the transportation of heavy outsize equipment for building of a OSB Plant in the city of Spassk-Dalny, Primorsky Kray. Two drier drums which weight 75.6 tons and have length of 20.7 metres and the diameter of 3.8 meters each were transported from China.

Intermodal transportation was carried out according to the specially developed transportation scheme including ship transportation from the port of Lianyungang to the Commercial Port of Vladivostok, port handling, inland transportation by heavy-lift 80-ton low-loaders and unloading at the destination point with a 50-ton and a 40-ton cranes arrived to Spassk-Dalny from Ussuriysk.

Rise in stock of orders for transportation of outsize and heavy cargo is a part of FESCO's strategy aimed at expanding its presence on the project logistics market. It allows using Group's experience and expertise in developing solutions for unique and process complicated transportation.

Oriented strand boards are used for construction purposes, production of sandwich panels for roof and wall areas in frame construction, as well as in furniture and package industries. OSB Plant being constructed in the city of Spassk-Dalny, Primorsky Kray, will be the first manufacturer of oriented strand boards in the Far East and the fifth in Russia. In 2019, the company plans to reach the industrial scale production level making up to 30,000 m3 per year. At full capacity, the production volume will make 60,000 m3 per year. The project is realized by a division of DNS Group.
