FESCO Transportation Group («FESCO») sent the first container train from Liaoning province (China) to the terminal and logistics center ‘Beliy Rast’ in Moscow Region through the border-crossing point Suifenhe (China)/Grodekovo (Primorye Territory).
This is the first FESCO’s train to arrive at the terminal and logistics center ‘Beliy Rast’ (a joint venture of RZD JSC and Port Liaoning Group of companies).The train will depart from Shenyang (Liaoning province) two times per month, planned cargo capacity is 200 TEU per month. The service is focused on the transportation of chemical products. The total travel time is about 14 days.
The first train of fifty 40FT containers departed to Shenyang on 1 September.
FESCO has been operating on the routes going through the Grodekovo / Suifenhe border-crossing point since 2016, developing intermodal transportation services along the Primorye-1 international transport corridor. In 2018, FESCO organized passage of container transit train from Hamburg to Zhengzhou through the crossing point. In 2019, services were launched from Krasnoyarsk to Beijing and from the Khabarovsk Territory to Heilongjiang province. A train for expedited delivery of cars from Heilongjiang province to Belgium was launched.
TLC ‘Beliy Rast’ includes a piggyback and container terminal with a throughput of up to 275 thousand TEU per year, a complex of universal distribution warehouses, inert cargo terminal. There are 3 loading and unloading railway tracks with a length of 1050 m, a container storage warehouse with a rated capacity of 3.1 thousand TEU. There is also an infrastructure of intra-terminal roads and a parking lot for trucks, a building for the accommodation of employees of the center and customs infrastructure.
