FESCO Launches New Container Service in Yakutia

FESCO Transportation Group launches a new regular container service on the Russian routes — FESCO Lena Shuttle to Yakutia. The new service is in line with the Company’s strategy aimed at expanding its intermodal container transportation network.

FESCO Lena Shuttle will depart from Moscow to Berkakit (Amur-Yakutsk railway, Neryungri district) and to Yakutsk every ten days. Total transit time to Berkakit will be 15–17 days, to Yakutsk — 21–23 days.

Also Vladivostok-Berkakit line is the part of FESCO Lena Shuttle. Shipments from Vladivostok will be carried out once in 6–10 days. Total transit time to Berkakit will be 6–8 days.

FESCO Lena Shuttle will be organized in the door to door way, cargoes will be delivered to the client’s door. Shipments will be available either on the terms of carrier’s owned container (COC) or shipper owned containers (SOC).

The pilot shipments are going to take place in the beginning of June.

The new service will provide an opportunity for FESCO clients to optimize logistics and to reduce costs. FESCO Lena Shuttle will provide transportation to Yakutia, where are delivered mainly cargoes of the energy sector, utilities and FMCG.
