FESCO launches expedited car-carrier train from China to Russia via Mongolia

FESCO Transportation Group («FESCO») is launching a container train for car transportation from Chongqing (China) to Kaluga region through Mongolia, expanding geography of expedited overland services between China and Russia.

The route goes through the border crossings in Erlian/Zamyn-Uud/ Naushki. Delivery to the client’s warehouse in Moscow region is performed with car transporters.

Train to Chongqing station will depart 2-4 times per month depending on clients’ needs. The new service will mainly focus on transportation of cars manufactured in China. Planned transportation volume is estimated at 200-400 TEU per month.

The first train with fifty 40FT containers of FESCO, loaded with 150 cars, arrived on 6 October at Vorotynsk station (Kaluga region). Total time en route was 17 days, which is 2,5 times faster than using the route through the Suez Canal.

FESCO has a great experience in transporting containerized imported cars and SKD kits for assembling cars in Russia, particularly at the Great Wall factory in Tula region.
