FESCO has launched a New Container Service on the Southeast Asia — Vladivostok — St. Petersburg route

18 March 2015
FESCO Transportation Group has launched a new regular container service on the Southeast Asia — Vladivostok — St. Petersburg route: FESCO Baltic Shuttle (FBS). The new service is in line with the Company’s strategy aimed at expanding its intermodal container transportation network.

The FBS service railway connection covers the distance between Vladivostok and Shushary station in Saint Petersburg. The rail shipments have already been successfully completed twice since early March; the first shipment took place on March 7.

FESCO Baltic Shuttle departs from Vladivostok once a week, on schedule. The service is geared toward freight from Southeast Asia shipped via Commercial port of Vladivostok, cargo shipments from the Far-East Region, as well as those provided by freight forwarders. Rail freight shipments are available either on the terms of Carrier’s Owned Container (COC.) or Shipper Owned Containers (SOC). The service entails a delivery option for cargo which was customs-cleared in the Port of Vladivostok, as well as cargo transported in the bonded transit clearance mode.

The service is arranged in the form of a loop route with return shipment from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok and through Vladivostok to the Southeast Asia and Russian Far-Eastern ports: Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Magadan, Korsakov.

FESCO Baltic Shutle is another step the company is taking to help clients improve and optimize logistics.
