FESCO employees celebrated the 60th anniversary of Victory Day

Employees of Far-Eastern shipping company celebrated the 60th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

On the threshold of Victory Day veterans and employees of Far-Eastern shipping company gathered beside the Monument to the sailors of Trade fleet, lost during the years of the Great Patriotic War, to honor memory of sailors, who did not return from the war.

The solemn ceremony of wreath imposition to the Eternal fire took place on the 8th of May. On the ceremony war veterans and workers of home front, having gone through the grave years of war days, FESCO veterans, having dedicated the most part of their life to the work at the shipping company, managers and sailors of the company, employees of costal departments took part.

To honor memory of the heroes the Chief Federal inspector on Primorsky krai E. A. Avakumyants, Head of administration of Vladivostok v. V. Nikolaev, Chairperson of Vladivostok town Veterans’ council Y. G. Kan, FESCO Veterans’ council Chairperson v. P. Legetsky came to the Memorial.

Students of Marine Universities of Vladivostok were on the guard of honor of the Eternal fire, cabin boys and cadets — successors of the glorious marine traditions of Primorye.

On the day of the 60th anniversary of Victory — on the 9th of May on Korabelnaya naberezhnaya solemn meeting and parade of Vladivostok garrison were held.
