FESCO begins handling of refrigerated containers at terminal in Khabarovsk

12 October 2015
FESCO Transportation Group has begun handling refrigerated containers at the company’s own Stroyopttorg terminal in Khabarovsk.

The launch of the new service has been made possible thanks to the upgrade of Stroyopttorg, during which a venue for storing refrigerated containers with capacity of 44 large containers was put into operation. The venue is equipped with a redundant power supply. A second shunting locomotive has also been put into operation at Stroyopttorg in order to ensure cargo operations stay on schedule.

With the launch of the new venue, FESCO is organizing the transport of perishable goods along loopback routes from Khabarovsk to Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Moscow and St. Petersburg. The delivery and shipment of containers will be carried out by Dalreftrans (part of FESCO Group, provides shipments of perishable and frozen cargo).

Expanding the spectrum of cargo handled at Stroyopttorg and the launch of the new service are aimed at developing refrigerated cargo shipments of the Group, as well as providing FESCO clients with most efficient logistics services and cutting down on costs.
