The multimedia exhibition located in eight halls will reflect on the life of Pavel Tretyakov and the unique collection stored in the Gallery. Thanks to the interactive format guests will be able to not only take a fresh look at the masterpieces of Russian painting, but also to literally imagine themselves in the Moscow halls of the Gallery.
The public educational program “The Tretyakov Gallery in Motion” includes an express lecture course “A thousand years of Russian Art” on the evolution of Russian art styles from the Middle Ages to present days. The program of film screenings will introduce guests to the creative heritage of famous Russian artists, a special emphasis will be made on coastal art. Creative workshops are planned for families and children and will be aimed at helping to understand how masterpieces of fine art are created.
“We hope that this exhibition as well as other joint projects of FESCO and the Tretyakov Gallery will contribute to fruitful dialogue between the two cultural centers of Russia – Moscow and Vladivostok. By introducing diversity into the cultural landscape of Primorye, we expect to open up new recreational and educational opportunities for residents of the region, which, in its turn, will help the region become more stable in economic terms,” said Andrey Severilov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FESCO.
FESCO is the general partner of the project in accordance with its corporate social responsibility strategy, within which the Group supports initiatives aimed at improving quality of life in the Primorsky Territory. The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Administration of the сity of Vladivostok also provided support in organizing the exhibition.
The interactive exhibition “The Tretyakov Gallery in Motion” will be open to public from August 29 to September 26 at: Upper platform of the amphitheater of the Sports Harbor embankment, Vladivostok.
