FESCO Transportation Group (“FESCO”) is expanding the coverage of its railway service FЕSCO Moscow Shuttle (FMS) on the route from Vladivostok to Moscow by adding a new point of departure and arrival – terminal and logistics center Bely Rast.
Thus, FESCO trains will be able to arrive at and depart from 4 stations in the Moscow region – Silikatnaya, Khovrino, Selyatino and Bely Rast.The first train loaded with 95 containers arrived at the Bely Rast station on 16 February 2021. Trains depart two times per week, transit time is 11 days.
FMS is FESCO’s first regular container train operating on the route Vladivostok-Moscow. It was launched in August 2009 and since then the number of trains on this route has increased from 1 to 20 trains per week. Being an important part of the company’s intermodal transport chain, the FMS service provides cargo delivery from CIS countries to the central regions in Russia and to Europe through Vladivostok.
The Bely Rast Terminal and Logistics Center is a joint venture of RZD JSC and Port Liaoning Group that includes a container-piggyback terminal with a processing capacity of up to 275 000 TEU per year, as well as a complex of distribution universal warehouses and an inert cargo terminal. The terminal has three loading and unloading railways with a length of 1050 m and a container storage warehouse with a capacity of 3100 TEU. The terminal also has intraterminal roads, a parking lot for trucks and an accommodation building for the employees of the Center and the customs.
